Sewer Flooding Update

SWW and their contractors have finally begun work on the upgrade of an Electroslide at Haysend Farm Sewerage Works. An Electroslide reduces flow rates backing the excess into a storage tank until it can be released without flooding.

The other task is that the sewerage pipes close to the Church and beyond downstream need cleaning and as a consequence of this there will be traffic lights by the Church and a road closure (Millford Lane) starting in early June.  This appears to be a back up from the point where the southern sewer meets the TF sewer, then continuing to the works at Ernesettle.
