Budshead Volunteer Session

We hope to see you all next week for another volunteer session this week! This month will be our last Thursday session as we head into the winter season. We will then be doing ad hoc volunteer days when there are volunteer friendly activities occurring, which will allow for the volunteer days to be more flexible and some on Wednesdays so more can join us!

Budshead wood, Thursday 2nd November 2023, 10:30 – 15:30,

This session will be focusing on woodland management: understorey thinning of the woodland and woodland management.

Please note that this is subject to change. If there is heavy rainfall and the water is deemed unsafe to work in then we will not enter the waters.

Parking: There is a public free parking area just off Rochford’s Crescent along Digby Way. Digby Way – Google Maps. There is also free parking along Rochford Crescent. Find here.

Please bring: Appropriate clothing, a packed lunch and water. A safety talk and necessary training will be provided prior to the session. If you will be participating in the maintenance and repair work, please wear steel toe-capped boots as we will be using tools. We can also supply these for you if you don’t have any, just let us know your shoe size.
